12월 15일 KBS 2TV를 통해 ‘2023 뮤직뱅크 글로벌 페스티벌’이 방송됐다. 1부는 KBS홀에서 생방송으로 진행됐으며, 2부는 지난 9일 일본 베루나돔 공연 녹화본이 총 240여 분에 걸쳐 송출됐다. 하지만 방송된 동영상이 일부 편집된 것이라는 사실과 풀 버전은 한국에서 정식으로 서비스 되지 않는 아마존 프라임 비디오를 통해 공개한다 알려지자 팬들의 원성과 항의가 빗발쳤다. 그래서 ‘2023 뮤직뱅크 글로벌 페스티벌’ 전체 버전을 무료 다시 보기 할 수 있도록 소개한다.

2부는 이영지와 전 출연진들이 올해의 인기 챌린지 안무로 활기찬 오프닝 무대를 선보인 다음 박진영, 골든걸스, 샤이니, 멜로망스, 강다니엘, 더보이즈, 스트레이키즈, 에이티즈, 있지, 이영지, 피원하모니, 스테이씨, 엔하이픈, 니쥬, 케플러, 엔믹스, 르세라핌, 뉴진스, 앤팀, 보이넥스트도어 등이 무대를 펼쳐 음악으로 한국과 일본 팬들을 하나로 만드는 축제의 장을 펼쳤다.

2. 2023 뮤직뱅크 글로벌 페스티벌에 대한 황당한 스트리밍 서비스에 분노한 국내 팬(Domestic fans angry at the absurd streaming service for the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival)
하지만 국내에 방송된 영상이 모든 출연진의 무대가 공개된 것은 아님을 알게 되자 팬들의 원성이 끓어올랐다. 후에 공개된 바로 2부 무대 상당수 분량이 편집되었고, OTT 및 ‘다시 보기’ 조차 제공하지 않을 것이고 미공개 영상을 더한 완전판은 내년 1월 26일부터 아마존 프라임 비디오를 통해 독점 공개한다고 공지했다.

하지만 아마존 프라임 비디오는 한국에서 정식으로 서비스 되지 않는다. 그러자 시청자들은 KBS가 우리나라 공영방송이 맞는지 물으면서 이는 국내 시청자에 대한 ‘역차별’이라는 항의가 온라인에 가득 차게 되었다. 이에 KBS는 “2023 뮤직뱅크 글로벌 페스티벌- 스페셜” 방송을 12월 17일 밤 11시 45분에 KBS 2TV에서 방송하고, “2023 뮤직뱅크 글로벌 페스티벌” ‘다시 보기 서비스’는 12월 18일부터 풀 버전과 ‘스페셜’ 버전으로 KBS 홈페이지에서 제공된다 공지했다.
However, Amazon Prime Video is not officially serviced in Korea. Viewers then asked whether KBS was Korea’s public broadcaster, and online protests filled the air claiming that this was ‘reverse discrimination’ against domestic viewers.
